Upcycled Carhartt work pant with right leg “THUMBPRINT” print and secondhand Vara scarf tied to hammer loop.
This design is a photo manipulation experiment printed on secondhand using plastisol ink in Pittsburgh, PA. In order to print such a large design, I had to open the pant at the inseam, print, and close the pant again. I then top stitched the inseam to provide additional strength.
Each print is unique. Textures and inconsistencies highlight the pre-existing wear and/or human-touch that each piece now showcases.
