Route 66 jean reworked with discarded fabric swatches patched together as double knees, nickel rivet reinforcement, minor zipper fly hand mend, back pocket repair, reconstruction of of cuffs, and a tramp stamp logo.
I went through 200 + gallons of discarded fabric swatches from Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse and picked my favorites to rework into double knees! I really wanted to focus on the real patchwork feel with these ones so i left the edges to fray while intentionally overstitching to give them some texture and depth.
Materials
Pant : worn blue denim , light tan thread, white sashiko thread
Double Knee : Discarded fabric swatches , white polyester thread
